On Sunday, May 4, at 3 pm Jerry Alexander will speak
on the religious, social, and economic life in the old
town of Pickens Court House. He has written in his
recently published book, "Antebellum Old Pickens
District, S.C." - "The Brick Church stands as a
silent,
sturdy sentinel, watching over the many precious
graves of village and valley residents and their
descendants." The Old Church is located on route 183
just beyond the bridge from Pickens to Oconee
County. Call 864.878.1574 for more information.
