A V.I.P. Suite at Fluor Field has been donated to Foothills Presbytery for the evening of July 10. The Suite has 22 box seats. This is an invitation for adults only to reserve a seat for a Greenville Drives baseball game at no cost. We will not take reservations until July 8 - So, please call Sandy after 9:00 on July 8 to reserve your seat. The number is 288-5774.

The Westminster Society's Summer Gathering will be a Greenville Drive baseball game for the whole family on Wednesday, July 29. Limited tickets have been purchased ($7 each) and will be reserved on a first call basis. You are invited to Salem Presbyterian Church for a casual afternoon of praise and appreciation Saturday, June 27, at 3:00 p.m. Bro. Dan Morton will be M.C. and the service will honor the Rev. John Edwards and the Rev. Issac Wallace. Special guests will be the Trinity Quartet and Sis. Kimberly Marion who will lead in praise and worship. The Royal Baptist Male Choir will provide special music. The church is located at 1100 Dooley Avenue in Anderson. Everyone is invited. | Old Pickens Church |

Every Sunday afternoon from 2:30 until 5:00 the Old Pickens Church is open for visitors. A docent is present to explain the history of the old town of Pickens Court House and describe the architecture of this classic church, which was the center of Christian life in that community. The historic cemetery contains the graves of families who were instrumental in founding Pickens and Oconee Counties. The docent will describe plans of the Historic Old Pickens Foundation for continuing the preservation of the church and cemetery, which are located just off route 183 between the Keowee River and the Duke Energy work entrance. Group visits may be arranged on days other than Sundays by phoning 878-1574, 944-5112 or 944-5421.

| Disaster Recovery Mission Trip |

A mission trip to the Texas Gulf Coast is being planned by the Foothills Presbytery Mission Team, along with PDA representatives in this area. The dates are September 20-25, and the group will be staying in one of the PDA villages set up in either Texas City or Port Neches. The cost will include travel (van rental and gas) and a $20 per day charge for room and board while there. Work will include repair of homes that were damaged by Hurricane Ike last September. | FaithPoint Church Work Days |
A group of people will be working on the FaithPoint House and property on June 19 and 20, beginning at 8:30 am, and they could use your help! Projects include tearing out carpet, cleaning, painting, and outdoor work. | South Carolina Convocation |

Over 250 Presbyterians from all over the state of South Carolina gathered on the campuses of Presbyterian College and Thornwell Home for Children May 29 and 30 to share in conversation about the proposed New Form of Government, to tour campuses, to worship with the Rev. Bruce Reyes-Chow preaching, to fellowship together at the reception held in the Thornwell Dining Hall and to conduct Stated Meetings of all five presbyteries.
The event was a big success with beautiful weather for the Friday evening picnic, wonderful music during the picnic, the worship service and the reception, and displays available from many institutions.
