The InDwellings ministry of Foothills Presbytery would like to thank everyone across the presbytery for the donated items, the visits to the sale, and the prayers for their Home Goods sale held last Saturday at Easley Presbyterian. The support across the presbytery for this ministry is amazing! The sale netted the mission over $3,000 toward building homes for adults with developmental disabilities, and many people in the Easley community have been informed about the critical need for these homes. For more opportunities to be involved in this project, visit their website at www.indwellings.org

Old Testament Prophets for Today by Carolyn Sharp
Prophets can be mediators who connect us to the holiness of God, they can be idealists whose desires for humanity call us to new heights of God's desire, and they can be companions for us in the confusing journey through our complicated world. In this offering from the popular For Today series, Carolyn Sharp offers a lay-friendly introduction to some of the Old Testament's most interesting--and often overlooked--prophets as well as to the better known ones. She illuminates the themes present in each of the prophetic books with an eye toward the many ways in which their messages remain relevant today. The book contains study questions for group or individual use.

How Calvinist ARE you?
 calvin
In this month of John Calvin celebrations, it's interesting to see how this 16th century reformer's ideas affect our 21st century attitudes and lifestyle. Here is a thought-provoking questionnaire to share with your church family and friends. Along with each question is an explanation of how Calvin and his followers might answer. See questionnaire here.
