Camp Buc

Camp Buc is operated as the Outdoor ministry of Foothills Presbytery, Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). The camp offers a haven from life’s distractions in a peaceful, isolated valley of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Waterfalls, streams and mountain vistas on and near the approximately 370 acres provide a wonderful setting for Christian growth.

The Foothills Presbytery Camp and Conference Division strives to provide an effective year-round program of camp and conferences through responsible planning, developing, promotion and evaluation. Special emphasis is given to opportunities for classified training and development through institutes, seminars, retreats and summer camp.

Our Mission is to provide campers and those on retreat opportunities to grow in Mind by experiencing and studying the abundant nature, grow in Body by exploring the surrounding wilderness, and grow in Spirit by witnessing first-hand the splendor of God’s creation.

Camp Buc year-round Staff are members of the Presbyterian Church Camp and Conference Associates (PCCCA, or "P - Triple C - A"). PCCCA is the national organization of and for persons in administrative, operational and programmatic leadership of conference, retreat and camping ministries associated with or operated by congregations, presbyteries, synods and the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

In partnership with congregations and governing bodies, PCCCA strives to encourage and develop a continuing growth in Christian faith and enable people of all ages and needs to live responsible and responsive lives of prayer, praise, thanksgiving and faithful service.
