Hispanic VBS a Success in Spartanburg
    Arcadia

Four churches in Spartanburg conducted a Vacation Bible School at Arcadia Elementary School with Hispanic and other children July 31 - August 3.

About 40 children attended, including Hispanic, African American and European American. Adults and young people from Covenant, First, Westminster (Fernwood) and Second churches taught classes and led recreation. Nancy Biggerstaff of Covenant Church directed the VBS. Don McClure of First Church chaired the committee that organized it. Chuy Gallegos and his daughter Jocabed took an active part.

Chuck Bagwell, principal of Arcadia, was very supportive of the effort. Children and leaders alike were enthusiastic and ready to do it again next year.
